HTCFC COVID-19 Policy – Holiday Courses

This Policy was last updated on 19/07/2021 – Government restrictions have now been removed, however, due to rising numbers of cases in our local area we have decided to proceed with caution and maintain our current rules & procedures for the time being in the interest of the safety of both our customers and staff.

Booking

  • Bookings can be made online at https://www.northhertsarena.co.uk/holiday-courses or by email to info@htcfc.co.uk where we will check availability for you and send you bank details for payment.

  • Due to limited numbers payment must be made in advance either online through PayPal/credit card or by bank transfer once we have confirmed availability. We are unable to accept cash at this time or any payments over the phone.

  • We will continue to keep children in the same bubble for the entirety of a course. Therefore at this stage we can only accept full 3-day week bookings.

  • If your child is coming with a friend or sibling of similar age and wishes to be grouped with them, please let us know when booking and we will endeavour to keep them together, however please be aware that this may not always be possible.

  • Bookings will close 24 hours before the club starts in order for us to make the necessary arrangements and predetermine the separate bubbles.

General

  • Please do not attend the holiday course if your child or anyone in your household is displaying symptoms of Covid-19. Where possible a temperature check each day before the course is advised and children with a high temperature must not attend the course.

  • We ask that you please explain to your children the importance of social distancing before they attend the course.

On the day

Arrival:

  • Children will need to bring a packed lunch, water bottle, sun cream and a waterproof in a labelled bag/backpack.

  • We ask that any snacks or food included in the lunch can be opened by your child unaided to aid us in social distancing.

  • Siblings must have separate bags, lunch boxes, water bottles and sun cream as they may be in separate bubbles and will not be able to cross over to others.

  • On arrival please turn right into the carpark and park on this side.

  • A queuing system has been put in place on the pathway which starts from the bollard in front of the green door in the middle of the building, and leads round to the side gate at the left of the building.

  • Please observe social distancing measures set out.

  • Where possible only one parent/guardian should be present at drop-off.

  • Hand sanitiser will be available at the gate to the pitch and your child will be asked to use this when they arrive before they are taken to their designated area (and routinely throughout the day).

  • Arrival times will be staggered per bubble so please ensure you arrive at your allocated time to ensure social distancing can be fully observed and children are able to go straight to their bubbles (you will receive an email with your allocated times on the Monday before the course starts).

During the course:

  • Children will be split into predetermined ‘bubbles’ and will have the same coaches allocated to them for the entirety of the course.

  • Each bubble will have their own pitch or area allocated to them and their own allocated break out area for arrival & break times.

  • Bubbles will not be able to mix with other bubbles at any time.

  • Toilet breaks will be supervised and on a one in, one out type basis. Each bubble will have their own allocated toilets for the entirety of the course.

  • Equipment will be cleaned prior to the start of each day of the course and at the end of each activity.

  • Children will be asked to sanitise their hands regularly and before and after toilet & lunch breaks.

  • Separate areas will be designated in the stands for each bubble to eat their lunch in.

  • Unfortunately we will not be able to hold our usual presentation at the end of each course.

Departure

  • Only one parent/guardian should be present for collection where possible.

  • Please follow the same procedure and queuing system as arrival when collecting your child(ren) & observe social distancing.

  • Please arrive at your allocated time to ensure social distancing can be fully observed.

Other

  • In the event of any first aid required, the designated first aider will wear PPE whilst treating.

  • Any medicines required during the day should be supplied in a clearly labelled plastic bag with instructions.

If a child presents with symptoms during the day:

  • The child will be taken to a specified area and the parents called to collect.

  • Any child who shows symptoms should be tested as soon as possible and remain at home until test results are received.

  • Parents/guardians of children on the same course will be advised of a possible case and if a case is confirmed, this will be reported to Public Health England and we will follow their advice.
