As well as the many coaching clinics running here at The Arena, we also send our FA qualified coaches out to schools to run different lunch-time and after-school courses and also to cover PPA needs.

EJA Hitchin Town U15s

Hitchin Town Football Club U15’s currently play in The Eastern Junior Alliance (EJA) Herts Division 1.

We are looking for players of a high standard to strengthen our existing squad, if you have EJA or Academy experience, please contact Liam McDevitt.

We have a qualified coach to aid progression.

Training is on Wednesday evening 6:30pm – 8:00pm at The Arena.

Hitchin Town Youth

Hitchin Town Youth FC is part of the Hitchin Town Football Club community. We are affiliated to the Hertfordshire FA and have teams competing in the Royston Crow League.

We achieved the Charter Standard Development Club award in November 2005.

The Football Association are committed to supporting grassroots clubs to raise the standards of football provision. Club Development forms an integral part of the F.A.'s five year Football Development Strategy. We at Hitchin Town Youth are committed to continuously improving the service we provide, raise standards and adopt good practice.

Ability Counts (Disability Football)

Initially the aim of the project was to deliver 1 informal coaching session per week to Adults with Learning Difficulties

The coaching session gives the players an opportunity to socialise around a sporting activity with other members of the community giving them something to look forward to and participate in.

This training session soon developed into teams being formed and friendly matches being played.

Next stop was competitive matches as the Teams evolved and entered the Beds/Herts FA Ability Counts League. In 2006 two teams were entered (Yellows & Whites) with the teams coming 1st and 2nd in the first year and they attended all the fixtures arranged.

Football training is on Monday’s 1.30 - 2.30pm at The Arena, Hitchin Town FC’s newly refurbished training ground at Norton Road, Baldock. The squad trains on a ‘state of the art’ full-size artificial pitch.

Junior Ability Counts

There is also a junior section for Ability Counts with training from 4.45 - 5.45pm every Monday during term-time and opportunities to play in organised tournaments (four per year).

The next planned tournament to be held at The Arena is on Sunday 12th February 2012.
