Country Walks

A guided walk shall be running at Ivel Springs during the Baldock Festival period. Title: Nature Reserves on your doorstep. Place: Ivel Springs, Local Nature Reserve. When: Thursday 15th May. Starting at 7.00 pm and finishing at 8.30pm

How to get there and meeting place:
Meeting at The Arena (formerly Baldock Football Club) main car park.

This is accessed from Norton Road, Baldock. Toilet and refreshment facilities will be open to walkers.

Topic of guided walk:
Ivel Springs is designated a County Wildlife site primarily because of the valuable wet and neutral grassland present. With the help of one of the County's Ecologists we shall be investigating which plants prefer these grassland habitats and why careful management is so important.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather.
