Primary Coaching Clinics for Boys & Girls

Our Primary Coaching Clinics are aimed at boys & girls who want to give football a try, combining top class football coaching from our FA qualified coaches with fun, games and activities

Day: Wednesdays
Times: 4.30pm - 5.30pm
Prices: £10 per calendar month
Course commences: 4th November 2009

Enhanced Coaching Clinics for Boys & Girls

The Enhanced Coaching Clinics are for children who already have some football experience and want to develop their skills. Once again the clinics are supervised by Hitchin Town Club coaches, offering children expert coaching that will enhance their technical ability and will support but not interfere with any coaching they currently receive from schools or clubs. To take part, please fill in a registration form (see above).

Saturday Morning Primary Clinics

A new course on Saturday mornings run by Football's Future and aimed at boys & girls who are perhaps new to football or have not yet had much experience.

Times & prices are as follows:

3-4 year olds: 9.30am - 10.15am

5-10 year olds: 10am - 11am

£30 for 6 weeks or £54 for 12 weeks

17th September - 10th December (term-time only)

Safe Hands

A new goalkeeping course concentrating on key skills such as shot-stopping, dealing with crosses, basic handling and footwork.

The number one priority for a goalkeeper is to stop shots from entering his or her goal. The single, most important aspect of goalkeeping is to handle the ball. There are a variety of handling techniques, but unless the ball can be safely caught then advancement will be almost impossible.

Taught by our FA qualified coaches, this course will provide goalkeepers with the technical ability they need for their specialised role within the team.

Day: Wednesdays

Times: 5.00pm - 6.00pm

Prices: £5 per session

Who: All ages, boys and girls welcome

Mini Matches

As the Specialised Clinics are coming to an end, we will be running a new session on Mondays throughout April. The emphasis will be on playing, with a full hour of mini match tournaments (2 versus 2, or 3 v 3, or 4 v 4), and prizes for winners each week.

The Mini Matches sessions are open to boys and girls of all ages, and will run from 5-6pm on the first three Mondays in April: 4th, 11th & 18th. Price is just £3 per session on a pay-as-you-go type basis.

If you would like your child to take part, just come along on the day, no need to book.

Week 6: 14th Mar: Twist - Strength & Conditioning

Week 7: 21st Mar: Defending - Part 2 (Small Group Defending)

Week 8: 28th Mar: Crossing, Finishing & Goalkeeping

Hertfordshire Advanced Development Centre (Ages 7 - 14)

The Herts Advance Development Centre was set up to help young players in their dream to becoming a professional footballer.

Our courses are aimed at elite players who may be searching for that certain something in terms of confidence, belief or encouragement, or who just need the opportunity to perform in front of scouts, managers and agents.

We combine first-class football coaching with the mental attitude aspects that are becoming increasingly important in the modern game, along with tips from experts who know what it takes to make it to the top!

Herts A.D.C. are continually looking to invite new players and we have a network of coaches and scouts who recommend players to us, but there are always a few players who slip through the net, so Herts A.D.C. run a series of FREE trials during the season and during the close season. Herts A.D.C. also work with the local education authorities, delivering after school beginners clubs, advance sessions, PPA-PPE sessions and P.E. lessons. Many of our success stories have been discovered at an after school club or holiday course. Herts A.D.C. also have very strong links with local colt’s football, relying on the expertise of local club managers and coaches in scouting for potential players, both playing for their club and also for the opposition.
