Elite Boys' Football Academy
Luton Town Football Club, in partnership with Hitchin Town FC launched an Elite Boys' Football Academy at The Arena in September 2010.
The partnership will give players the opportunity to progress with both clubs. Luton Town have one of the most successful Youth Programmes in the country with seven graduates now playing in Premier League, and Hitchin Town are one of non-league's most progressive clubs.
Acceptance into the Academy will depend upon players being 16 or 17; be of the appropriate high standard in football, as judged by references and a trial observed by Luton Town coaching staff; pass an academic profiling exercise; and, commit to 2 years of education.
If successful, you can expect:
- A daily training/coaching programme delivered by Luton Town FC coaches
- To play as the Luton Town Academy team in a league/competitive situations
- The opportunity to progress in Luton Town's Youth Team
- The opportunity to represent Hitchin Town's Under 18 and reserve team in a league
- An academic programme tailored around your training schedule
- The opportunity to complete the FA Level 2 coaching award
- A specific and monitored physical training programme
- A first class academic programme delivered in the Hitchin Town LearnIT study support centre.
